Black Hills Estate Winery vineyards have some of the most favourable grape growing conditions in the country, resulting in exceptional terroir. Located on the famed Black Sage Road north of Osoyoos, British Columbia in the Okanagan Valley appellation, we are right in the middle of Canada’s only official desert. The resulting microclimate leaves us with one of hottest, driest and sunniest sites in the country. In fact, with our northern latitude, we have more sunlight hours than Napa Valley in the key growing months of June through August.
The vineyards' west-facing slope aspect and deep desert sand experiences exceptional diurnal temperature variation providing daytime heat that fully ripens our grapes followed by cool nights that allow acid retention. The result? Intensely flavourful grapes!
Taste our wine at our architecturally stunning Wine Experience Centre, open from March to November. Try a portfolio tasting of our six signature wines, including the acclaimed Nota Bene. During the summer months, our Vineyard Kitchen serves up artisan pizzas and charcuterie boards to enjoy while you relax on our patio. In July & August, visit us from 4–7 pm daily for Sunset Happy Hour. The Vineyard Kitchen stays open as we offer two for one tastings and weekly feature appearances by our DJ. Visit our website for menus, reservations and event details!
